If you’ve got a little one running around, you know just how crazy expensive car seats are.

Beyond that, you can’t just buy one and call it a day. As your child grows, she needs a new car seat. And another. And another.

Luckily, Target will give you 20 percent off any of their car seats when you bring your old one in during their twice a year car seat trade-in event.

All you have to do is bring your used car seat to any Target location and you’ll get a coupon worth 20 percent off any Target car seat. You can shop online or in stores through May 31 for your new car seat with the coupon!

Target says it’s teaming up with TerraCycle to upcycle those old car seats (let’s be honest, you can hardly tell they’ve been used). They expect to keep more than 700,000 pounds of materials out of the landfill with this event.

Just how expensive are car seats? Consumer Reports says the average cost is $175, but of course the sky’s the limit when it comes to buying stuff for your kids—some are as pricey as $400.
