The most important day for parents is right around the corner, the Babies R Us Greater Trade-In event!
Starting on Feb. 16, shoppers can come to any Babies R Us or Toys R Us store and trade in baby and children’s gear in return for discounts on brand-new, big-ticket items from the baby superstore.
Parents, grandparents and caregivers can bring in any gently used or even damaged baby and toddler items, such as car seats, car seat bases, infant swings, infant seats, pop ‘n plays, strollers, bouncers, jumpers, walkers, travel systems, high chairs, entertainers, play-yards, bassinets, cribs, toddler/twin beds, crib/toddler mattresses, clothing, clothing accessories and shoes.
In return for doing so, you will receive 25 percent off a baby gear or furniture item, whether you want a stroller for your toddler or perhaps a new crib for a coming addition to your family. If you bring in gently used clothes, you can get 25 percent off a clothing purchase.
If you are a store credit card holder and you use your credit card to make your purchase, you will receive 30 percent off your purchase.
The clothing trade-in option is new this year. Babies R Us is partnering with charities across the country to pass along your gently used baby clothing.
If you are are a loyalty club member, you actually get to take part in this awesome event a bit earlier than other shoppers. Loyalty members can bring their items in on Feb. 11, whereas other customers must wait until Feb. 16.
The purpose of this event is not only to help parents and loyal shoppers save money, but to ensure that babies and little ones are kept as safe as possible.
By bringing in older models and swapping them for newer and updated versions, parents can be sure that their baby gear meets or exceeds current national safety standards (which seem to change all the time).
Additionally, the event will also benefit children in need, as traded items such as gently-used clothing will be donated to those less fortunate.
The Babies R Us Greater Trade-In Event will run through March 18, so you have plenty of time to get all your unwanted baby gear in order. Saving money, helping others AND getting new, safer baby gear? A win-win-win!
