Want a free $5 toward your next Amazon purchase?

Of course you do.

Amazon will give you a $5 credit when you add $25 to your Amazon Cash account.

For those of us who don’t have a credit or debit card (or just don’t like using one), this is a new way to buy things online. After all, you can’t just shove cash into your computer to pay for things you order online.

Here’s how you use Amazon Cash.

You can add cash to your account by visiting a participating retailer and having them scan your personalized Amazon barcode, which you can show them on your phone or print out at home. Then, simply pay them with cash and your Amazon balance will be updated.

When you want to spend your account balance, you can pay using the same barcode at thousands of brick-and-mortar stores. Or, take that cash you added to your account and spend it on Amazon.com.

Stores like CVS Pharmacy, Boost Mobile, GameStop, Kum & Go, KwikTrip and Holiday will let you pay using your Amazon Cash barcode.

The best part? There are no fees to use it.

So if you don’t have a credit card, this might be something to check out!
